Event Production Manager

Attention all Theatrical, Festival, Concert Lighting Designers. Creative Audio/Video Technicians. Event Production Experts. 

The Lux Productions is looking for a creative and passionate individuals with vision and integrity to manage, maintain, and guide our Audio, Video and Lighting departments. 

Event Production Management is a fast-paced and incredibly rewarding opportunity for those who can effectively manage time, people and resources, while ensuring a successful event experience. The Production Manager has imagination, integrity, personality and attention to detail. A successful candidate displays an ability to fulfill both the client’s vision and maintain our quality standards. As part of the Production Department team, the Production Manager is responsible for implementing and delivering our designers’ vision to their clients, from design, to installation, operation and removal. 

Education and Experience 
Bachelor’s degree or 4 years’ experience in theatrical arts, design, lighting, audio, video or related technical field. Must have event or production experience. Must have experience managing a team of people to accomplish tasks within a deadline. Must possess organizational skills and excellence in client relationships. 

Must have hands-on technical experience with some of the following: 

· Corporate Audio Mixing, Wireless Mics, and Speaker Layouts 
· Power distribution (temporary power solutions, generators, and various power drops) 
· Hanging, addressing, and focusing different theatrical lighting fixtures (both LED and incandescent) 
· Moving Lights and Programming 
· Lighting consoles (Chamsys MagicQ is a bonus) 
· Novastar Systems, LED Video Wall Assembly and Video Playback 
· Camera Operation and Switching (PTZ and Studio) 

Responsibilities 
Production Managers are expected to help plan and oversee all aspects of an event, from conception to the last detail. Production Managers will regularly meet with relevant organizational staff to discuss the needs of the organization. Production Managers often suggest ideas, themes or other creative possibilities to help an event and improve their department. Adhering to a timeline is important and frequent communication with team members is a must. Production Managers should expect local travel within the Bay Area, and be willing to work nights, weekends and holidays. 

Duties 
· Meet with event planners and designers to discuss the implementation and technical direction of the event 
· Build equipment orders, production timelines, and A/V diagrams 
· Oversee and lead the installation, operation and breakdown of Lighting, Audio and Video Systems in The Greater Bay Area using state-of-the-art equipment 
· Oversee maintenance of equipment in the lighting department, ensuring it is all in working condition 
· Work within budgets, time management and a collaborative work environment 
· Be an active leader, teach others while perfecting yourself.

Job Type: Full-time 

Pay:$60,000 - $75,000
