The Lux Productions was founded in 2001 as a full service production company, catering to the needs of the event and theatre industries. Over the years, we have had the experience and expertise to assist clients from big to small realize their productions to fruition.

Tom Durante (Partner, President, GM)
B.F.A.- Chapman University
M.F.A.-California St. University Fullerton , Lighting Design and Production Management
After receiving a BFA and MFA in Southern California, Tom returned home to Napa to work with friends on future endeavors. Soon, out of necessity, Tom along with high school buddy, Chadwick Meyer, started The Lux Productions.
Tom now uses his contacts and knowledge that he learned while going to a great masters program at Cal St Fullerton ; working for the Disney Resort in Anaheim and working for special event design firms Brite Ideas and Shine Lighting.
Some of Tom's favorite events are: V-Foundation Wine Celebration, EAA's Gathering of Eagles Dinner, our yearly trip to Vegas for Bank of the West and dinners at all the great homes and wineries in the Napa Valley . |
Bill McDonald -Business and Logistics Director
Bill has been in the event industry for over 30 years. As the production manager for Estee Lauder for twenty years, he has produced events all of the globe. From large corporate theatre to small release parties, his experience is extremly valuable to The Lux Production Staff. Bill has also worked in the theme park industry and the event production industry as an executive, there is not much Bill cannot get done.

Chris Huff – Sr. Production Manager
B.A.- Rice University
Chris has over 10 years experience in the theatrical and event industries. Before coming to "The Lux" Chris worked for the Solano Community College theatre department. While there, he served as the Master Electrician for three years and Master Carpenter before that. Prior to his move to the Bay Area, Chris lived in Houston, Texas, where he graduated from Rice University with a B.A. in Mechanical Engineering and worked with The Alley Theatre and Stagelight Inc.

Cullen Knappen - Production Manager

1 year Cal Arts – Stage management
Cullen brings 15 years of experience in theatre with him to The Lux Productions. Prior to The Lux Productions, Cullen worked at Universal Studios theme park as a Stage Manager for eight years and was responsible for the day to day production operations of all live shows. Cullen also was responsible for many of the press events within the park. He has also worked for the Center theatre group, Actors Ally, Road Theatre Company, and many other theatre and film productions in and around Southern California .

Jarred Villarreal- Production/Shop Lead

Jared has been with The Lux Productions for the last few years. During that time he has learned all the ins and outs of what the event industry has to offer. Jared's level of commitment and experience has elevated him to the position of Shop Production Lead.
Jonathan Cox- Production/Sales Lead
B.A.- UC San Diego
Jon, our newest Production Lead, has years of experience in the theatrical design industry. Jon has been active in the theatrical field since attending high school here in Napa. He then went on to assist in productions at UCSD, one of the counties leading universities for Theatre and the Arts. Jon brings that expierence and drive to The Lux Productions. |
