About Us - The Lux Productions

The Lux Productions was founded in 2001 as a full service production company, catering to the needs of the event and theatre industries. Over the years, we have had the experience and expertise to assist clients from big to small realize their productions to fruition. And we love doing it.

	Tom Durante - President - Tom@thelux.com B.F.A.- Chapman University M.F.A.-California St. University Fullerton , Lighting Design and Production Management After receiving a BFA and MFA in Southern California, Tom returned home to Napa to work with friends on future endeavors. Soon, along with high school buddy and Lux Co-Founder, Chadwick Meyer, started The Lux Productions. Tom now uses his contacts and knowledge that he learned while going to a great masters program at Cal St Fullerton ; working for the Disney Resort in Anaheim and working for special event design firms Brite Ideas and Shine Lighting. Some of Tom's favorite events are: V-Foundation Wine Celebration, EAA's Gathering of Eagles Dinner, our yearly trip to Vegas for Bank of the West and dinners at all the great homes and wineries in the Napa and Sonoma Valleys.

	Blain Ross- Operations Manager - Blain@thelux.com The Lux Productions is proud to welcome Blain Ross to their growing company. Blain will take on the role of Operations Manager for this locally owned and operated lighting, audio, and visual corporation. Before joining The Lux Productions Blain was with the now Seattle, Washington based AV company AVMS. During the 8 years with AVMS Blain was the Regional Manager providing many of the local hotels, wineries, corporations, and organizations with audio visual rentals and services. Blain attended Napa Valley College has many years of experience in most aspects of media delivery and production with 5 years theater experience acting, lighting design, and set construction. Blain also has 15 years' experience in professional photography, video production, computer graphics, film recording, desktop publishing, 3D modeling & animation, media delivery, web media and much more. Blains’ addition to The Lux rounds out the already super talented crew providing the area’s clients with the best in lighting, audio, visual, logistics, design, fabric treatments, and complete large event management.

	Gillian Shipman - Event Design and Sales Manager - Gillian@thelux.com BA in American Multi-Cultural Studies - Sonoma State University Multi-Subject Teaching Credential - Sonoma State University New to The Lux in 2010, Gillian has seven years of Event Design and Hospitality experience. Gillian has worked for vendors and clients of The Lux and has made time during her busy schedule to get her Multi-Subject Teaching credential. Wither she is on top of a ladder or helping you plan your next Event/Wedding, her dedication and outgoing personality will make you feel at ease. She now brings all that experience to The Lux, allowing The Lux Productions to continue its rise to the top of the California and Nevada Event Industry.

	Jarred Villarreal - Sr. Production Manager - Jared@thelux.com Theatre-Solano Community College Jared has been with The Lux Productions for the last five years, and during that time he has learned all the ins and outs of what the event industry has to offer. Jared's level of commitment and experience has elevated him to the position of Sr. Production Manager. Jared brings with him an intimate knowledge of Audio and Lighting effects, and has been managing event logistics for the last three years.

A veteran of production in the Bay Area for 40 years, Bill has been with The Lux nearly since the beginning. His experience as a production manager for multiple national cosmetic companies, lead him to find us in 2002, and he has been with The Lux in some form or fashion ever since. Bill's intimate knowledge of our products and services allows him to act as liaison between our people and our stuff.
